The Body Shop ‘Drops of Youth’ Youth Cream is priced at INR 1995/- for 50 ml. of the product.
Thanks to the rather vicious Indian summer this city has been quite hot and humid, and it has taken a toll on my skin, leaving it rather dry. I generally don’t speak about creams which claim to be anti-ageing, but this one I was interested in, because it is supposed to make your skin feel plump and supple. I have also used some of the products from this range, and they worked out really well for me.
What The Body Shop has to say about this: A velvety air-whipped moisturising cream to leave skin feeling smoother, more supple and refined with a youthful-looking bounce. Infused with a potent blend of 3 plant stem cells, edelweiss, sea holly, and criste marine.
My Opinion: I thought this would be quite heavy on my skin, which, currently is neither too dry nor too oily, veering slightly towards oily. However, the texture of this cream is really light, and it has a lovely, slightly watery texture, which gets absorbed easily, but doesn’t make the skin dry. This makes it quite good as a primer under your makeup as well. The fragrance of this cream is mild, and it doesn’t leave behind any white cast or residue.
My skin after a couple of weeks of use has shown some differences – it is much more hydrated and feels softer. However, I would have to use it for another few weeks to fully understand how much it has affected my skin. Good news: no breakouts. However, those of you who want quick results, this probably won’t be your pick. However, its really nice, especially for women with normal to dry skin. I am not sure how it will work out on oily skin, but I have a feeling, since this is not creamy, it would not clog pores, which is always a nice thing.
