Garnier Pure Active Neem Face wash |
Garnier is an extremely reliable name in the Indian beauty and skincare market, and I swear by a few of their products, including their pure active blackhead clearing scrub, BB cream (about which I have blogged), and their color natural range of hair colors. In short, they are one of the most reliable brands for me, and I always look out for their latest launches.
So, let me tell you about a product which I have used for a considerable period of time. Garnier Pure Active Neem Face wash has been in my house ever since it launched, and I keep on buying large tubes of it, because it is my go-to face wash. Now, even before I started on this review, I sort of gave you my verdict. But why do you think I love it so much?
If you look at the packaging, it comes in a simple tube, with a flip-top cap, and you can squeeze out as much or as little as you want, and store the rest. This is much more hygienic than those cleansers which come in a tub, and super travel-friendly.
Once opened, I generally need a small amount of the gel-like face wash, which is clear green in color. I tend to massage it between my palms with a little bit of water to lather up, and then apply all over my face and neck. After massaging it in, I wash off with lukewarm water.
Now, there is a big reason why I love this gel. I have terrible acne-prone skin which breaks out for no reason whatsoever. Indeed, it is very disturbing for me to see my skin suddenly misbehave, and it mostly happens due to my oily skin and clogged pores.
But, after I started using this, together with Garnier light oil-free moisturizer, I have noticed a huge difference to my skin. I used to be pretty pimply, especially right before my periods, but that has significantly reduced after using this every morning after I wake up. All I do is wash my face with this face wash and then apply the moisturizer after patting my face dry with a soft towel. It leaves my skin squeaky clean without drying it out, so I have to say, I pretty much love the effect. I think it is because of the neem extracts in the face wash. Neem is known for soothing acne prone skin and preventing eruptions.
