Elle 18 recently launched a range of colour pop matte lipsticks which are priced at 100/- INR each. The brand has been in India for a long time, and is a great budget-friendly option for those who would love to experiment with makeup or want something to wear which would not break the bank.
What Elle 18 has to say about the product: If you want a bright red to make that otherwise boring outfit into a stylish confident look, or a happier pink to reflect your chirpy mood when you’re out with friends, the new Elle 18 Matte lipsticks have shades for your every mood and style. The new Matte range is available in 20 delightful shades. These lipsticks come with a long lasting payoff so you don’t have to worry about losing texture or colour. It’s a One Stroke Bold Matte Lipstick that is made for the trendy modern girl who seeks for diva-like looks that get her ready for any occasion in just a few seconds!
My Take on Elle 18 colour pop Matte Lipsticks: I have been using these colourpop matte lipsticks for a while (Currently I am on a vacation, and I have two of these with me), and I find them to be really creamy with a good bit of moisturization that is great for those who like their lips hydrated and not dried out. However, these aren’t matte by a long shot – they are rather with a creamy finish and the colours I have do not have any glitter or shimmer. The pigmentation is medium and the finish is definitely not opaque. They last for about 4-5 hours on me without eating and fade quite easily, which isn’t something I approve of. They fade completely after a meal.
The hand swatches of the Elle 18 colour pop matte lipsticks were with two swipes of the colour and the lip swatches show the low pigmentation which is sad because I had initially thought that these would be an improvement over the original formula of the brand.
With a tad more pigmentation these Elle 18 colour pop matte lipsticks would have become far better than these are currently. Although the fact that these come in 20 colours is great they need to improve the formula further to really make these matte.
