Why is Black Dog Triple Gold Reserve the best Scotch to unwind with?
Alcohol makes people happy. Period. Whether you want to dance like a loon, or sit there and relax, or just have a good time with friends, your best bet is a good glass of booze which makes you happy.
And well, scotch makes me happy. Especially when it’s a blend which I find smooth, rounded out, and completely mellow.
When talking about relaxing and enjoying a good glass of fine alcohol, I can still imagine seeing one of my favorite uncles with a tumbler of Black Dog. A loyalist, he was in love with good spirits, and would enjoy his favorite tipple with some soft music after a hard day at work. His motto was simple: drinking in moderation, followed by some good food, would be the key to living a healthy life.
It was in this spirit he would raise his glass of fine blended scotch, and slowly savor it with a bit of his favorite food to eat. I would stare enviously as a child, only allowed the food, but never the drink.
One of his favorite things to eat while unwinding would be a special combination of cooked chickpeas, drained and mildly flavored with some chopped fresh red onions, a hint of lemon juice, a dash of salt and some chopped cilantro leaves. The concoction would be made either fresh, or everything would be mixed a couple of hours ago (except the lime of course!), and would be served chilled at the table, with lime wedges decorating the plate, ready to be squeezed according to one’s taste.
I have had such fond memories of stealing bits of that food from his plate, and he would always talk about the simplicity of accompaniments which build the flavors up in one’s palate perfectly. Black Dog Triple Gold Reserve is a fine blend that you can enjoy after a long day at work.
