The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream (Featuring Eley Kishimoto) Review

The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream is available in two sizes and is priced at INR 995/- for 50 ml. and INR 1595/- for 100 ml. The iconic product from the brand has been recently given a limited edition packaging overhaul by famous British designer duo Eley Kishimoto, who are strong believers in concepts like sustainable living and fashion which should benefit both the crowd and nature. The concept of slow fashion, together with The Body Shop’s motto of no animal testing made this particular association extremely meaningful.

What The Body Shop Says About their Vitamin E Moisture Cream:

Our lightweight, easily absorbed facial moisturiser protects and locks in moisture for all-day hydration, to leave skin feeling fresh, silky-soft and more healthy-looking from day 1. Formulated with vitamin E, 100% natural origin hyaluronic acid and wheatgerm oil, our iconic Moisture Cream will help ward off dryness.

My Take of The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream:

I have previously used several products from The Body Shop’s Vitamin E range, namely their skin sorbet, their eye cream, as well as their hydrating face mist. The moisture cream is lightweight, smells glorious (it reminds me of baby products, somehow), and doesn’t leave my skin greasy at all. I use the cream as a daily moisturizer, in the morning and in the night. It hydrates my skin well, but there’s no other significant effect that I have noticed. The range also has a Nourishing Night Cream which is much heavier, and would be far more suited to the cold months when my skin turns dry and dull.

I do use the hydrating mist whenever my skin feels parched, and I love the refreshing smell. The eye cream is a favorite because it really makes my eyes look less tired and puffy. Currently, a limited edition bag is also available with The Body Shop for INR 595/- but if you shop for more than INR 3000/- then you get the bag for free (while stocks last).

I do believe that The Body Shop Vitamin E Nourishing Night Cream would be a better fit for those who have really dry skin, while people with normal to combination (normal-dry) would benefit from The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream. The hydration is quite long-lasting (my skin doesn’t feel dry at all through the day), and the addition of natural origin hyaluronic acid ensures that your skin retains moisture.
