I am telling myself what to do this year. Last year, I wished for more travel. I got it.

This year, I want to travel more, again! I know, I sound repetitive, right?

But, here’s the thing, I completely forgot to talk about all the things I did last year. And I have to list them down now, because I am quite proud of them all.

  1. Kept my promise to myself of travelling to at least three new places, and one new country. I travelled to four new countries, to be honest – Italy, France, Romania, and Russia – albeit for a very short time.
  2. Kept the promise of walking 100 kilometres in a month. It doesn’t sound like much, but truthfully speaking, if I didn’t keep track, I probably wouldn’t have. Check out a list of smart wearable products that can help you keep track of your walking and/or other activities. I am planning on buying a fitbit next – do you use it? Comment if you do!RDP_6690
  3. Introduced myself to three new cuisines I haven’t tried before. Here, I have to say, my exposure to Europe is minimum, so, I indulged in the food from certain remote regions of Italy, the wonderful cuisines of Romania, Moldova (albeit very little), and the food of Toulouse. I am still reeling from the incredible experience of good food.
  4. Travelled to at least five new places in my own country – here, I am grateful for Sayantan da, who took me with them to Sillery Gaon, Gnathang Valley, Rishikhola – parts of the Silk route, my work trip to Dibrugarh, a part of Assam I had never been to, a day trip to Mongpu with Deep, and Raghurajpur, a heritage village close to Puri.
  5. Cooked more – here is where I lacked the enthusiasm and motivation. I have to admit – I need to cook more, and its something I need to get behind. What do you think about installing a few smart home devices that can motivate me to cook? Comment with the hashtag #SmartHomeRevolution to help me figure out what works.
  6. Rediscovering a love for old, familiar places was part of my agenda, and my trips to Darjeeling, Mumbai, Kalimpong, Delhi, Jamshedpur were all there to affirm the same.
  7. Became slightly fitter by making sure I followed a regular activity routine that ACTUALLY WORKED for me. Check out interesting fitness devices on Flipkart and follow the hasgtag  #GetFitWithFlipkart .

I wish I can do more for people, travel more, eat more interesting things, and become a better person this year. Wish me luck!
