The Body Shop Japanese Matcha Tea Pollution Clearing Mask Review

The Body Shop Japanese Matcha Tea Pollution Clearing Mask is priced at INR 1995/- for 75 ml of the product. I have been looking for something to make my skin feel fresh and hydrated for a while, so I jumped at the product as soon as it hit the market. A lot of reviewers claimed that the mask reduced redness, and since I have been experiencing that quite a bit, especially around my nose, I decided to give this a try and see how it went. The mask ideally should clean out the pores by gently exfoliating your skin, and make it feel fresh and glowing.

My Experience of The Body Shop Japanese Matcha Tea Pollution Clearing Mask

Okay, straight off the bat – I have a little bit of an issue with the smell of Matcha (you either love it or you hate it as per my darling S, and unfortunately, I’m not a lover), but for some reason, though this smells quite definitely of Matcha, I am okay with it, maybe because after the initial minute or so, I can deal with it. As soon as I applied, I could feel my skin cooling down a bit – hmm, a definite hit of mint out there! The colour is a lovely green, and that’s definitely a bonus. I started using the mask every other day for a span of three weeks, and here’s what I observed

  • My skin felt refreshed after each use and looked brighter, somehow
  • My pores definitely showed signs of tightening
  • It has tiny beads that does exfoliate mildly when you’re taking the mask off
  • This one sunk into my skin in no time
  • My breakouts were significantly lowered, even during my PMS days
  • I could feel my skin looking slightly tighter after the second week and my pores were smaller

As I can totally see myself purchasing a few bottles of The Body Shop Japanese Matcha Tea Pollution Clearing Mask in the near future, I would definitely recommend this to those who are looking for a good summer-friendly mask that would clean up the skin and make it look fresher. A great product from the brand for my skin type!
