I recently visited the Nagold Gallery, located conveniently on the main road, and spoke at length with the representatives from the brand who took me around the store. The key feature of Nagold appliances has to be their design and convenience factor. Their products look really good, are easy to use and also really easy to maintain. They also come with extended warranties, which is really convenient for the users.
- The electric chimneys: These are a no-brainer. Not only do they have a very sleek look, these are also extremely compact and easily maneuvered with the aid of a few buttons. These can be fitted into the kitchen quite easily, and comes with an advanced smoke ventilation system that makes it very convenient to get rid of the smoke in the kitchen quickly. This ventilation system can be controlled and it has three speed levels. Some of them also come with a timer function, which facilitates the reduction of electricity wastage. There is an oil catcher fitting as well, which is designed to specifically reduce the amount of oil accumulating in the chimney (one of the primary causes for chimneys to catch fire, btw). I particularly liked the model “Angela 90” because it is so pristine!
- Steam Oven: The steam oven fascinated me. I love cooking food in an oven and the combi steam oven has a feature that allows the individual to add this extra element of moisture to avoid food getting dried up while cooking, and it is great for reheating food. Moreover, in steam ovens, a lot of food gets cooked in a healthier manner, thus, keeping the health quotient in mind while not compromising on the taste. I liked the child lock feature in the oven I was shown, that made it safer, and over 20 preset combinations to pick from the auto cook segment. There is a water tank that needs to be filled from time to time to facilitate cooking with steam, but that’s quite common. I liked the convenience of having so many different features in a single product.
- Dishwasher: Dishwashers save lives, I have been told. If I am asked to pick something for my kitchen, that is probably what I would be getting, because, as per my friend R, it is so convenient! These dishwashers can be fitted into your kitchen cabinet, and customizations can be done to accommodate it seamlessly. They come with adjustable mug shelves which are soft to touch, that helps fit in the most fragile china or glass without the fear of them breaking. Nagold claims that their dishwashers kill more than 99% germs and are seriously energy-efficient.
- Refrigerators: For me, this was the highlight. I love huge refrigerators, and the standalone products, as well as the ones that can be fitted into wall units, looked incredible. The highlight for me was that they had a separate ice cube making segment that can directly transform water into chilled water or ice, depending on the requirements. The freezer section can also be converted into a fridge by changing the settings, and the whole process would take no more than an hour.
Apart from this, Nagold boasts of other kitchen gadgets like mixers, fryers, microwave as well as normal ovens, washing machines, and a range of hobs that definitely is worth exploring. I found my visit to the Nagold store in Kolkata to be a fun experience, and the staff was really helpful in describing the different products and how they can be customized.
