Lakme 9 to 5 Primer + Matte Lip Colors are priced at INR 480/- for 3.6 gm of product and is available on Nykaa and via Lakme counters. I have previously spoken about my affinity for this particular formula, and they launched a few shades recently, apt for Fall. I used a couple of these for the last few days, and here are my thoughts about them.

- Intense matte finish with vibrant color payoff
My Experience with Lakme 9 to 5 Primer + Matte Lip Color
Since I HAVE used these lipsticks before, I was actually not too worried about the formula, because the formula of these shades are pretty much the bomb – very comforting and hydrating, but also quite long-lasting. At less than 500/-, these are also almost always on sale online, and the range consists of a number of neutral shades that are great for office wear. Their rose-gold packaging is a classic, albeit prone to acquiring fingerprints, but in all, I would say that its a minor con.
Lakme 9 to 5 Primer + Matte Lip Color Pink Party is a lovely dark pink with magenta undertones which reminds me slightly of MAC Plumful. Its a shade that is intensely pigmented, and two swipes give full coverage. It DOES transfer, so after eating and drinking, you would have to reapply, but without that, this easily sits for 5-6 hours without fading. The color doesn’t bleed, flake, or fade much, and I do like the texture, which is pretty smooth.
Lakme 9 to 5 Primer + Matte Lip Color Sangria Weekend is a dark brownish wine shade that is a faint reminder of MAC Dark Side. It is a great shade for winters, and especially on deeper tones, although I can see fairer skin tones loving this as well. On my skin, this translates into a shade that can be worn virtually everywhere – from office to parties to family outings, and I wore this in a number of places with really positive results. It lasted for longer, albeit faded from the center, and stained a bit. Removal was easy – any good quality makeup remover or facewash got rid of it all. I am definitely going to recommend this for the budget holiday shopper who would like a creamy matte shade this winter.
