I generally do not post anything that’s remotely political on this blog, but I made an exception for today. Not for any particular party, mind you, but for your right to vote.

You don’t want to give up your right to vote. Trust me. You don’t want to feel helpless and desperate and upset because you did not have the choice. No matter who you vote for, it is your basic right because you are part of a country, and you must do your part.

Because you are a part of your country and you are responsible for it. And by voting, you are being responsible for the future.

So vote. Go to that booth. It’s open till seven o’clock in the evening. Plenty of time for you to go.

And in case you go and see your vote has already been cast, and you did not cast it, you have the right to go and ask for a tender vote. If ten or more people demand for a tender vote, that particular booth’s voting is cancelled and re-polling must take place.

Know your rights and vote. For your country.
