I am always on the lookout for a nice moisturiser which would not be too sticky or make my skin break out, so when a moisturiser claims to be non-sticky, non-oily, and yet hydrating, I am quite interested in it.
Vivel Cell Renew Body Lotion (All Year Light) is priced at INR 195/- for 250 ml. The product is part of their Cell Renew range, which contains four types of body lotions, including, apart from this one, the Intensive Restore, Night Replenish and Deep Smoothening body lotion. As per the brand, this product is suitable for normal skin, and can be used all round the year.
A Brief Look at the Ingredient List:
If you take a look at the ingredient list, you would see parabens. Alhough I do not have a lot of problems with them, but if you do, then this probably isn’t the thing for you.
The bottle comes with a squeeze-top, and a small pull-away plastic contraption is used to secure the top. I find this a pretty clever idea, and this way, you can use the squeeze bottle in general, or, if you want to carry this around, just re-instate the plastic bit, to make sure the top is closed. However, as this product is 250 ml. in size, I don’t think anyone would want to carry it around – buying a smaller pack for travel purposes is advised.

The product itself is lightweight and can be dispensed easily. Once you take it in your palm, you would realize that the warmth of your hand is melting the product slightly, and making it more fluid, great for applying all over your skin, where it gets absorbed in a flash. I have been using this for the last couple of weeks, and I have to say, the way it quickly gets soaked up into my skin is what I love the most about the product.
I like the smell, which is floral and slightly powdery – very comforting to me, but might prove a bit too strong to those with sensitive nose. It also lasts for a considerable period of time on my skin – about 2-3 hours at least. I have been using it once in the morning and once in the night, and it keeps my normal skin nicely hydrated. However, with the approaching winters, I have to say I might have to change from this to something more heavy-duty, but that’s okay, because I can still use this for another month before that happens. I don’t need a lot of the product to hydrate – a coin-sized amount is enough to moisturise my skin. It does not break me out, and is not sticky or oily, which are major points for it in my books.
Verdict
If you like hydrating, non-oily daily moisturisers, which smell of flowers, this is a good product to try out. Although the large packaging isn’t the best thing to lug about while travelling, its still a good bargain at its price.
