The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil (1795/- for 125 ml.) is made for your body and hair.
The Body Shop Says about the product: our Community Fair Trade organic argan oil is carefully pressed from the best Argan nuts, hand-cracked by Berber women in south west Morocco. The kernels are pressed and filtered slowly over 48 hours to extract the purest oil possible, to infuse our products with the most sublime radiance for your skin. Our trade with the six Targanine co-operatives provides women with a fair and regular income, helping them raise their living standards and increase their independence.
The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil looks similar, packaging wise, to the other oils sold by the company. However, once you have gotten over the fact that this is nearly double the price of those, it is actually one of those multi-purpose products which I love.
Till date, I have used it in the following manners, and here’s how it fared –
1. Apply all over my body for a lovely shimmery glossy look. It really added a sheen to my legs and arms. I was charmed.
2. Use it on my face right after coming back home from a hard day’s work, and then immediately stepping into a hot shower. The effect is amazing. Generally, showers tend to dry out my facial skin a lot, but after I started this little trick, it is actually helping me a lot in keeping my skin moisturized and soft.
3. Used it as an overnight treatment for my hair. This worked out the best – the oil really worked wonders when I applied it the night before and washed it off with a shampoo the next day.
4. Used it as a serum after bath for my hair ends. This tended to weigh down my hair a bit when I wasn’t careful and added more than a squirt to my towel-dried hair.
The oil is colorless, with a nutty scent, and is not very “oily”. It is more of a dry oil, and I love the texture of it, because it does not clog my skin’s pores in any way. The squirt top makes it easy for me to directly squirt on the surface, and rub. I have to say, this is a nice product, and will definitely last me a considerable period of time (so far, I have been using it for 2 weeks religiously, and around 10% has been used up).
