The Body Shop Nutriganics Drops of Youth

Nutriganics Drops of Youth The Body Shop

The Body Shop Nutriganics Drops of Youth is priced at INR 2895/- for 30 ml. It comes in a simple green glass bottle with a white cap which looks vaguely medical, and is quite fragile. I received this a month ago at The Body Shop event in Kolkata which I blogged about here, I have been using this for the last month, and here is what I think of it.

The Body Shop Nutriganics
What The Body Shop Says About the Product: Our certified organic range has been created for the first signs of ageing. This innovative concentrate helps to enhance surface skin condition, leaving it looking smoother, fresher and healthier. It helps enhance surface skin condition, smoothes, and is instantly moisturizing. The product is made witBabassu oil, which is extracted from the nuts of the wild babassu palm tree, found on the fringes of the Amazon rainforest in Brazil. The Cooperative of Agricultural Producers of Lago de Junco (COPPALJ) is based in the north-eastern state of Maranhão in Brazil. It comprises over 150 members from 12 communities. The babassu tree has become an important subsistence resource in Maranhão, where over 300,000 families harvest babassu and are often dependent upon this activity for their economic survival. COPPALJ provides a fair wage, and also helps to lobby on behalf of babassu-harvesting communities to help them protect the forest and their livelihood. My Take: The glass vial is fancy, and you can take as much or as little as possible with the dropper. I generally need about 2-3 drops for my face and neck. I was excited to try this as I am now considering a solution that would help my skin, now that I am no longer in my twenties. I started using this as a face serum daily, which meant, I started my day with cleaning my face, and then using this, and then following with the day cream. It sinks in very quickly, and although hydrating, it is not very moisturizing (and yes, it did not claim to be so).

Once I started adding this to my routine, I have realized that my skin is relatively stress-free. I have had a massively hard time at work recently, where I have worked for 18 hours a day, and often missed sleep. In general, my skin reacts violently, and breaks out in hives, but this time, apart from a couple of zits (which is fairly common), it was pretty tame.

Also, after using this, I have seen a difference in my skin texture. It does not happen overnight, but after a month’s use, I have realized that my skin is more supple, more elastic, and I have less issues with open pores (which is always good news for someone with my troubled skin type).

Overall, I have to say that this product has worked nicely for me. Although expensive, I will repurchase this once it is over (however, I have been using this for a month, and its barely down to one-third, so, I think this will keep for 3 months at least). If you are looking for a good serum which would be great for boosting your skin’s hydration quotient, this is definitely an option you can go for. Plus, as I said, I have troubled skin, and this did not affect it in any way, and instead, soothed it. That is definitely a good thing for me!
