The Body Shop Drops of Youth Youth Liquid Peel is priced at INR 1995/- for 145 ml and can be purchased from The Body Shop India store online. I have been using this product ever since I got it, after every two days, and I have to admit, I see some good changes to my skin. I went away to Mandarmani last weekend and acquired a tan. I totally relied on this to help me make it through the week, and boy, did it help!
What The Body Shop Says:
The NEW Drops of Youth™ Youth Liquid Peel exfoliates and gently peels off impurities from your skin, lifting dead skin cells and residuals. This revolutionary gel-to-peel leaves skin clean and purified from the day’s pollutants. Continued use will leave a fresh, smoother and more luminous youthful-looking skin.
My Experience:
The packaging of this liquid peel is similar to other Drops of Youth products – a dark forest green bottle with a simple black pump. There is a small plastic stopper to help keep the nozzle in place, and you would have to twist the top to make the pump work. I like the fact that this is plastic and not glass, because I am perpetually afraid of glass breaking and the peel getting wasted.
The Body Shop Drops of Youth Liquid Peel smells quite strongly medicinal, an almost alcohol-like smell, which is rather pungent and might not suit sensitive noses. However, after the initial whiff, the product does settle down a good deal, and smells much less intense. It is semi-transparent, with a gel-like texture that spreads easily on my skin.
Use:
Ideally, pump out a small quantity on your palm and then rub it in circular motion to the areas that need cleaning. I tend to use this on my face and neck, where I rub the gel in for 30-40 seconds and then wash off with lukewarm water.
I had tried this on at the store, and I was quite happy to see the amount of dead skin and dirt this pulled out as soon as I started rubbing. At home, I have been focusing on my face and neck, and I can definitely see the results – the tan’s almost off from my face and neck, while my hands look much darker. I would also have to say that this has tightened pores a bit too, and my skin looks rather nice.
I am putting up a photo of my face (wearing nothing but some nude lipstick) to explain the glow in my skin. Together with Drops of Youth Youth Emulsion, this product has improved the quality of my skin considerably in the recent past.
By the way, The Body Shop is holding a Twitter contest with the hashtag #PeelTheDirt where you can win great The Body Shop goodies today, 30th May, 2017. Don’t miss out on that!
