The Body Shop Matte Lip Liquids are available for INR 695/- and are available in 12 shades. The Body Shop Down To Earth Eye Palette is available in three shades – Brown, Plum, and Black and these are priced at INR 1995/-. I fell in love with the colour Plum, because weirdly enough, I am craving plummy shades all summer, and I ended up with that and the shade Tokyo Lotus from the Matte Liquid Lip range.

My Take on The Body Shop Matte Liquid Lips
I had a hard time picking the shade I wanted from The Body Shop. The colors are super-pretty, and I really wanted Nairobi Camellia as well as Goa Magnolia, but I ended up with Tokyo Lotus because the colour just plain screamed summer to me! Its a beautiful hot pink, and I loved it at sight. I ended up wearing it more than I thought I was, and used it as a base colour as well, topping with shimmery gloss. The texture of these liquid lips is really smooth and has a whipped, almost mousse-like texture.
I tend to put on a tiny bit first, diffuse it with the tip of my finger to spread it out, and then apply a second layer, because that way, the lipstick doesn’t go into the creases of my lips and get applied in a way which can only be called patchy.
I like the comfortable factor – these lippies really do not make my lips dry – a huge bonus point for me. They do transfer, and aren’t very long lasting, so reapplication is a good thing.

My Take on The Body Shop Down To Earth Eye Palette Plum
I was thinking of picking the brown palette first, but something told me I was being a coward and not experimenting, so I picked the plum instead. Turns out, I made a great choice. Three of the four shades from the palette are perfect for everyday wear. There are four shades:
• Attica Marble: A cool, matte yellow-white, perfect for defining browbone and highlighting brows.
• Petra Sandstone: My favourite – a cool taupe with shimmers – very easy to blend, and a great shade for a light wash over my eyes.
• Penrhyn Slate: A great color for transition into darker shade – medium slate grey with a little bit of shimmers.
• Bengal Granite: This was a nice plummy brown with dark plum and brown shimmers.
All the shades apply better when wet, and there is a bit of fallout, but its not a lot, which I can live with. I do love how intense the shade “Petra Sandstone” can be – wet, it can really give a fantastic shimmery finish, which I like. I also absurdly love “Bengal Granite” – a dark plum with hits of shimmers – its just plain magical, and perfect on my lower lashline, right under my kohl. These lasted for 8 hours with minimum fading and no creasing, and didn’t irritate my eyes at all! The product amount is ample, and the brand definitely didn’t scrimp on that aspect.
I think the new launches from The Body Shop, after using them for nearly a month, are quite good investments, especially this eye palette, which can be a fantastic travel companion, with its versatile shades. Have you bought any of these? What do you think?
