My Take of the Amazonian Saviour™ Multi-Purpose Balm:

The texture and feel of The Body Shop Amazonian Saviour™ Multi-Purpose Balm is actually quite similar to petroleum jelly, although it is far from that. It doesn’t have any discerning smell, a fact that I like, and the packaging is compact, which makes it great to carry around. I started using this right after my return from Malaysia, because I felt that my tattoos were looking a bit frayed thanks to me frolicking around under the blazing sun. The balm claims that tattoos look refreshed and darker after using this, and I was eagerly waiting to see the results after using it for a week.

You can see the difference from the two photos after using this regularly. I used a tiny amount of the balm on my skin every night, right before I went to sleep. The appearance of my tattoos look much better afterwards, and I am currently using this on my stretch marks too see if they reduce in their appearance or not. I am quite hopeful it will happen as I can feel my skin feel more emollient and nourished.

I have to admit, I didn’t expect The Body Shop Amazonian Saviour™ Multi-Purpose Balm to work this well on my tattoo, but it does. I like the way it feels on my skin, and the way it improves the appearance of tattoos. It also worked great to moisturize my dry elbow region (which is a real problem), so I have to give this product two thumbs up!

  1. I don’t have a tattoo but I think that would help with dry skin. Thanks for sharing. 🙂

  2. Thanks for the insights!! The difference between your before/after photos is crazy. Will definitely have to keep this in mind when I get a tattoo.
