My Take on Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon:

I was so excited to see these Lakme Enrich Lip Crayons, I decided to try them out. These are quite easy to carry around, but needs a sharpener, which is not a very travel-friendly option. They do provide a sharpener with the product, which is dual-ended, so makes life easy when you are carrying them with an eye pencil that needs sharpening. They actually look like crayons, and I was tempted to use them on paper (templates were very thoughtfully provided by Lakme for me).

The product glides on easily, and provide light to medium coverage at two swipes. If you need to make it opaque, you would have to swipe multiple times until you get the coverage you require. I swatched six colors, and here they are:

Berry Red: A slightly darkened red with hints of cherry.

Red Stop: A classic blue-based red.

Candid Coral: Reddish Orange.

Mauve Magic: More Barbie Pink than Mauve.

Shocking Pink: Pink bordering towards Fuchsia.

Cinnamon Brown: A really nice Pinky Brown, perfect MLBB (My Lips But Better) for me.

I was pleasantly surprised by the hand swatches. The pigmentation was decent, especially for Mauve Magic, Red Stop, and Shocking Pink. Berry Red and Cinnamon Brown fared well in the pigmentation game as well, but I had a little problem with Candid Coral, which, no matter how I tried, wasn’t ready to be fully opaque (you can see the hand swatch where the shade still isn’t perfectly opaque even after multiple swipes).

The lip swatches revealed a bit more about the pigmentation. I was skeptical about the final color payoff for Berry Red, but I later swiped it multiple times, and it was better. However, hands down, Mauve Magic and Shocking Pink won the game, going completely opaque and creamy, and lasted for four hours easily. Cinnamon Brown faded after a couple of hours, while Red Stop left a very pretty red stain on my lips after 5 hours of wear. Candid Coral turned out to be slightly patchy, and my least favorite of the six.

I  would say, these Lakme Enrich Lip Crayons are quite affordable, fits inside your purse easily (although you may need to carry the sharpener too), and is well-pigmented. I do wish they had more browns and plums, since that’s what I am digging nowadays, but these are fun summer shades that can be worn easily.
