Well, so I have decided to write about my venture into frozen food. This week, it is Chicken Garlic Fingers from Yummiez, Godrej.
The reason I am writing a review about this is because I have been previously reticent about what I ALLOW in my kitchen, and frozen food never figured very big there. I have always considered frozen food not exactly the peak of cuisine and steered clear.
So this pack I suddenly picked up, courtesy, My Man, who had to have one of these packs. He bought me one, despite the protests. Because I do not like wastage, or hurting his feelings, I took this back home.
And I defrosted it as soon as possible, and shallow fried it. The first batch was lighter in color, resembling the original picture on the Yummiez cover, the later versions came out brown and bountiful.
I bit into one, after preparing myself with some Sing Cheung Hot Red Chilli Sauce, Mayonnaise, Creamy Cheese Spread and Tomato Ketchup.
Well, I think the outer crust is too thick, and the chicken does not taste like chicken. It tastes like slightly dehydrated chicken, and has a strong icky garlic flavor. I dipped mine into what seemed to be all the condiments and ate another one. Valiantly.
Then I gave the rest to my sister. Better than a trash can.
