Oshea Herbals UVShield Sun Block Cream with SPF40 Review

Good Sun Block Cream from Oshea Herbals India

Oshea Herbals UVShield Sun Block Cream with SPF40 comes in a 60 gm. pack, and is priced at INR 195/-. You can buy their products from Flipkart, or from their website.

I have to confess – I wasn’t aware of Oshea Herbals until recently, but when the good people sent over a few products for me to try, I was intrigued by them, and after using them for a considerable amount of time, I have to say, I am pretty happy with the general result.

What Oshea Herbals have to say about the product: This 5-in-1 daily sun block cream provides long-lasting protection against harmful UVA & UVB rays. It contains Aloe Vera, Cucumber and Licorice extracts that help maintain skin’s moisture balance. This cream is easily absorbed by your skin, giving a uniform matte finish to the skin. Its non greasy formula ensures a shine-free, light and clean feel. Daily use prevents skin from tanning and premature ageing due to exposure to sun.

Packaging: Okay, so the packaging of this product reminded me of a few other products – the orange color is not exactly unique, but I guess it is easy to pick up. The flip top cap is sturdy and it is easily carried in my big purse where I keep my swimming gear. As summer is here, I am swimming a lot, and this product is, thus, not getting out of my bag, because its a good quality and inexpensive sunscreen lotion.

Ingredients in Oshea Herbals Sun Block Cream with SPF40

Product: A dollop of the cream is enough for my face. It has a nice smell, which I like, but it is slightly strong, and lingers. The cream is water-based, and gets absorbed into my skin in no time. It is tinted, but does not leave any residue on my skin and does not make my skin oily at all. I generally reapply it after every 3-4 hours, and the good news is, it has no problem getting blended in.

Effect: I have been using the product for the last couple of weeks, and I have to say, this is a great alternative for those who do not like oily sunblock creams. I have noted that this prevents tanning to a certain extent, and is a good protector from the harsh sun. I went to Delhi recently, and carried this throughout with me. It did protect my skin considerably, and although I went out every day around 12 in the afternoon, it ensured my skin was not tanned badly. It also prevented my skin from getting too oily.
Rating: 4/5
Overall Thought: I believe this is a good product for those who want to try something different and prefer a water-based sun block. It works well to protect me from the sun, and is quite good for my oily skin. Plus, it is easy to carry in my bag. I do hope they would try to improve the packaging, but well, this one is pretty convenient.
