As Anuradha Menon (of the Lola Kutty fame) rightly pointed out in her opening speech when introducing Scotch as a Gift, it is so difficult to pick a gift for a man. But truthfully speaking, scotch whiskey is a great gift for anyone, especially if the person is a lover of good alcohol. Chitrangada Singh noted, Scotch can be a good gifting option to those who like to relax and unwind. United Spirits Limited hosted a fantastic evening devoted to the art of gifting scotch at Oberoi Grand, Kolkata.
I was present at the event for the launch of the Scotch Whiskey Collection, featuring Vat 69, Black & White and Black Dog. Celebrities Chitrangda Singh and Shibani Dandekar spoke about the dilemma they often faced when giving personal gifts. They both believed that the Scotch Whisky Collection now made this job far more simple.
Chitrangada Singh spoke about her love for scotch, which had grown since she was an army brat and her father loved it. She noted, “My father is a perfectionist and a man of great character and strength. He enjoys his Scotch whisky and hence the perfect gift for him would be a bottle of VAT 69.”
The launch was attended by a number of celebrities from Tollywood, ambassadors from the brand, as well as popular food writers, bloggers, and socialites. Enjoy the photos! You can also see some exclusive footage on my Instagram account or check out hashtag #LoveScotchAsAGift .
