L’Oreal Paris Rouge Magique Lipstick is priced at INR 650/- , comes in 12 shades, and is available over L’Oreal counters, and from Nykaa. I was sucked into it the moment I saw the hot pink and black packaging, the same as their Rouge Magique kajal, and got Divine Mocha, the color I felt would be my summer go-to shade.
What L’Oreal Says about L’Oreal Rouge Magique Lipsticks:
L’Oreal Paris launches a new generation of matte lipsticks with intense colour pigments and most comfortable wear. Enriched with nourishing oils, pure matte pigments, and hydrating honey, Rouge Magique dresses your lips with the most intense matte colors! It’s MAGIQUE, in a stroke.
My Review of L’Oreal Rouge Magique Lipstick Divine Mocha:
I find the packaging quite beautiful (in fact, the reason I got it), and the overall travel-friendliness of it has been established, thanks to its presence in my bag since the day I got it. The texture of the lipstick is really creamy, and it doesn’t turn matte and dry like advertised. However, the pigmentation is quite nice, and the colour payoff is absolutely on spot, so I am not complaining there.
On me, the shade Divine Mocha is a medium brown with a touch of pink – too brown to be called “my lips but better”, and yet, its got that little something that makes it special. It is a great shade for fair to tan skin tone, and although I believe that slightly darker skinned beauties should try this on before buying, its quite a versatile shade for most skin tones.
The lipstick lasted for 4 hours on my lips easily, fading a little on the corners, and I needed a touch up after eating. It also transfers a bit, but does not feather or bleed. I like the fact that my lips were well-nourished. Another great thing is the price – the Rouge Magique lipsticks a steal at 650/- given that normal L’Oreal lipsticks are priced at 900/- plus mostly, as per the current market price.
Overall, I believe this lipstick is pretty decently priced, and a good purchase this summer. The L’Oreal Paris Rouge Magique Lipstick range boasts of a set of pretty predictable, and mostly bright shades, which is nice, but I would have liked a few more browns and beige shades from the range.
