|L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Collection Star Lipstick Pure Rouge|
L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Collection Star Lipstick Pure Rouge is from their brand new range of reds – with divas like Freida Pinto, Aishwarya Rai, Fan Bing Bing, Blake Lively and Sonam Kapoor endorsing different shades. In all, there are seven shades, and I received the shade Pure Rouge, which is Freida Pinto’s shade.

I have to say I was pretty happy wearing it. The packaging is similar to their moist matte range, except the color of the tube is black, with a red square to indicate the shade. The shade itself is a gorgeous clean blue-red, very similar to MAC Ruby Woo. As Miss Woo has somehow disappeared from my bag recently, I was more than happy to see this shade. Priced at 995/- INR for 4.2 gm, I think the lipstick is going to last me a considerable amount of time.
It glides on easily, and spreads well. The pigmentation is intense and one swipe is enough for hiding any dark pigmentation on my lips. It is pretty long lasting (5-6 hours at least), and more hydrating than most matte lipsticks I have used. It leaves a dark red tint on my lips, and fades unevenly, and it is always a good idea to wear a lip balm under it, especially in this winter season.

I was thinking of pairing this shade with black winged liner, but then I thought it was pretty passé. The thing is, red lipsticks can jazz up virtually anything, even a boring grey t-shirt, and I so wanted to bring out the red by teaming it with some blue eye pencil. In the end, I decided to line my eyes blue, put on my lipstick, and smiled for the camera.
