Kiehl’s Breakout Control Acne Treatment Facial Lotion is priced at INR 4250/- for 2 fl. oz (approximately 60 ml.) and is available in Kiehl’s counters and Nykaa. I got a skin consultation done from the Kiehl’s store at Quest mall, and they suggested I use this for the times my skin acts up. My skin type was carefully assessed before they made the suggestions, and so far, I like the Ultra Facial Cleanser they suggested as well as the blemish control facial lotion.
What Kiehl’s Says about it:
The Breakout Control Acne Treatment facial treatment lotion helps to correct and help prevent future blemishes, while reducing the appearance of dullness and rough texture. Formulated with acne-clearing Salicylic Acid and Pine Bark Extract, our facial treatment lotion calms and soothes inflamed skin, while diminishing visible redness and evening skin tone for a clear complexion. Over time, skin appears healthy and youthfully refined.
I got the Kiehl’s Breakout Control Acne Treatment Facial Lotion from the store and wanted to try it on, but wouldn’t you know it, just when you think your skin will have a massive breakout, it turns absolutely 180 degree and docile, and well, that put a damper to my project for a while. Whatever small eruptions I had were easily taken care of, and I had NOTHING to put this on.
Sometimes, you want to hurt yourself, to see if you can put products on it and heal.
I am weird.
Anyway, then, a semi-miracle happened (actually, in my case, it WAS NOT A MIRACLE, it was rather a very nasty, painful pimple which blossomed on my chin. And, in my utter stupidity and senselessness, I had scratched it), and I had a rather spectacular pimply scar on my chin which looked ABSOLUTELY HIDEOUS.
And then I knew it was time to take this baby out for a spin. I have to say this, it WORKED. I was so thrilled!
So on to the brief review of Kiehl’s Breakout Control Acne Treatment Facial Lotion. The product smells medicinal, and it is quite watery. I used it specifically on the skin which was affected as a spot treatment because this is pretty expensive, and I want it to last a while. It got absorbed quite easily, and didn’t irritate my skin at all. Rather, it had a mildly cooling effect, something I liked. The texture is not too runny or thick – great for topical application.
After using this religiously for three weeks I can safely say that not only did the blemish not fade out, but it literally disappeared. I have to thank Kiehl’s for that, and I have to say, that for my sensitive skin at least, this product totally works!
