As a child, I had always loved surprises, especially when it involved receiving a gift from someone I loved and cared about. As I grew older, jewellery became an integral part of my life, and I loved sporting beautiful neckpieces, earrings or pendants. In fact, who doesn’t like beautiful diamonds or gold, with designs that are bound to catch the eye?
That is probably the reason why I have absolutely loved watching Kareena Kapoor in action. From her first appearance on the big screen in refugee, she showed the world her mettle as an actor, and followed it up by making a style statement whenever she went. From the stylish ‘Poo’ in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, to the body-beautiful ‘chhaliya’ girl in Tashan, or the vivacious ‘Geet’ in Jab We Met, she has always displayed a great sense of style, and her jewellery has reflected that. From tiny studs in her ears to a full-blown wedding garb, she has always rocked her outfits, and as a result, whatever she has worn has become a fashion statement.
After her marriage to Saif Ali Khan, and then, in due time, Kareena’s pregnancy, her style statements have diversified. She now sports looks to play up her role as a wife and a mother. However, that doesn’t stop her from being outspoken and also a champion for women. She was recently asked a question – whether she was carrying a boy or a girl, and she was emphatic about the silliness of such a query. Her statements have been quite diplomatic but yet firm and well-thought. This is probably the reason why she is associated with a brand like Malabar Gold & Diamonds which is the perfect blend of tradition and modernity, where designs are created to attract the attention, and there’s something for everyone. This is the season of gift-giving, and it is a wonderful idea to gift someone you love a thoughtful and memorable gift of love which would leave them breathless with happiness.
