Get Ready for Durga Pujo with Kama Ayurveda Skincare

I love good skincare, and the stuff that works for me makes me happy. I recently visited the Kama Ayurveda store to pick up a few products and totally fell in love with their haircare range, cold pressed neem oil, and Kumkumadi scrub. Over the next couple of months I will try out the products, but I have a quick and easy skincare regime that can make your skin look amazing almost instantly.

Before beginning, let me be honest – I had tried the Kama Ayurveda Kumkumadi Miracle Beauty Elixir before, but it had broken me out. I was heartbroken then, I really wanted to make the product work for me. However, when I went to the Kama Store this time, the store manager spoke to me and asked me to hydrate my skin first before applying it. She formulated a routine for me which can be adapted by virtually anyone, and has a three-step process that results in glowing, clean skin. I put it up on my Instagram and I received a lot of queries – here’s the results after a few days’ use.

Step One: Wash your face with lukewarm water. Use a good cleanser (I used Kama Ayurveda Rose and Jasmine face wash) to clean your face.

Step Two: Use Kama Ayurveda Kumkumadi Brightening Ayurvedic Scrub on your face, avoiding the eyes and lip region, with a little bit of water. I used this with a few spritzes of the Kama Ayurveda rose water but you can always use plain water to make the creamy texture slightly more emollient. Once you have scrubbed for 4-5 minutes, wash off with lukewarm water.

Step Three: Spritz some Kama Ayurveda pure vetiver water, or choose from a range of pure flavors from the brand, like rose and mogra. I picked vetiver because I live for the smell of vetiver.

Step Four: Add a drop of Kama Ayurvedic Kumkumadi Miracle Beauty Elixir to your palm and add another couple of spritzes of the pure vetiver water to it. Mix and apply all over your face. Wait for the oil to sink in and then see how your skin glows.

In the last 4 days, I have been using the beauty elixir and I was told that different people needed the elixir in different quantities – I would need just a drop on my oily-normal skin, but you can use 2-3 drops, depending on your skin’s tendency towards dryness. I have used the Kumkumadi scrub twice, and its quite nice. However, the beauty elixir makes my skin glow, and I guess I will have to use it more to give a better opinion about it.
