Forest Essentials Tejasvi Emulsion |
Forest Essentials has finally opened a branch in Kolkata, at Forum Mall, ground floor.
Yes, I cannot be happier. Now I don’t need to order their products online. Also, I would be able to check out the entire range, rather than blindly purchasing one or two products at a time. If you do not know about Forest Essentials, I suggest you head over to their web page. For those, who would like a brief introduction, here goes a quote straight from their site.
Forest Essentials is an authentic, traditional Skin Care Brand, with its foundations in the ancient science of Ayurveda. A pioneer in the Luxury Ayurvedic segment, today it has become the quintessential Indian Beauty Brand where secrets of ancient beauty rituals for skin and hair care have been brought to life through pain-staking research and made available to modern day customers.
Forest Essentials Store in Kolkata |
When I reached the store, it was jam packed, but I spotted Aastha Gupta, who represented the brand, and we spoke about the launch. She was excited about the launch, and I did spot a few known designers and dancers (Sharbari Datta, Tanushree Shankar, Agnimitra Paul) in the crush.

I was, however, mesmerised by the huge selection of products. Forest Essentials Kolkata seems like a small store, but, cleverly placed, they have a huge selection of products, and the sales assistants explained what each of them did patiently to the interested customers.
Forest Essentials Small Trial Packs |
The best part is, the brand offers a number of products in smaller sizes, which makes it easy for someone to pick one up and try it out. These packs also are great for travelling. However, if you think that by being travel-friendly, they are too little, then think again. They have about 50 ml. of product, enough to last a person at least 5-6 uses.

Of course, they also have lovely packs, with different purposes. You can pick a range which you like, or go for a particular kind of pampering. For example, they have options like Jasmine and Mogra, Rose, Nargis, or a selection of products for facial care, or for shower. These make excellent gifts as well as for pampering the soul.
Forest Essentials Cleanser and Travel Pack |
As there was quite a crush in the store, I did not stick around for long, but the lovely Dr. Ipsita Chatterjee gave me a quick couple of tips, and although I was longing to get something with rose in it, I picked up the Madurai Jasmine and Mogra Hair Cleanser and Conditioner, because my hair has not been behaving well forever for the last few weeks. I have started to use them, lets hope for the best!

Forest Essentials does have a great range of products, and the good news is, there are products based on your ‘dosha’, which basically means, the bodily humour that is favoured by the individual. Although I did not get my ‘dosha’ analysed, the helpful sales assistants can provide you with products if you know what your ‘dosha’ is. The doctor can help to determine the ‘dosha’, in case you fail to recognise what your issue is.
Forest Essentials Facial Indulgence Gift Pack |
I am quite happy that the brand is here to stay, and I intend to go over to their store one day for round two, soon!
