Also known as Danger Pudding, I first came across this recipe as a child in a book by Lila Majumdar, called “Rannar Boi” where she described the dish in delectable details that made my mouth water. After a Long, Long time, and a lot of experimentation, I came across the recipe again in this site:, and I thank David Lebovitz for sharing such a wonderful recipe.

Here is my version, which is down pat from Lila Majumdar. I have used Mithai Mate by Amul, to keep the texture even. The final product looks something like the picture below, and tastes… Heavenly.

    look at Rannar Boi carefully. Somewhere in there it shall be. What you do is boil an unopened tin of condensed milk for one hour.

    Result is what you see above… in a jomakheeranondebhora way.
