I love nerdy glasses, and yes, I’ve always worn glasses since Class IV, so its a part of my self. Fastrack recently came up with a range of affordable eyewear, and my heart was set on a round frame. Now, initially I thought it won’t really suit me, because well, you know what they say: round frame, round face doesn’t go together. But well, why worry about what the rest of the world thinks if you feel it looks good on you? I thought these glasses looked good on me, and that’s what matters at the end of the day.
After a month’s use, I can safely say that I quite like these Fastrack frames. These are transparent, lightweight, very easy to clean, made out of plastic, and I have dropped them a few times without any major mishap occurring. They did not harm my skins in any way (I have an issue with contact dermatitis) and doesn’t react to oil or sweat in any manner. The range of frames available from Fastrack are quite affordable, starting at around 995/-, and they come in a number of colors, shapes, and sizes. You can check out more designs at the Fastrack brand page here.
The other day I was working with Priyanka Mukherjee, who is a good friend and a book lover, to promote her FACEBOOK Page where she sells good, second-hand books at a really low price in and around Kolkata, and I decided to wear these glasses during the shoot. The photos of this blog post were mostly taken by her (barring the selfies I took, and yes, I take DSLR Selfies, deal with it). You can check out the FB page for a book catalogue.
Disclaimer: Poorna Banerjee were sent the frames by the brand for a review.
