B Natural juices are available in store and via Big Basket, as I recently discovered. Their price range for a liter of product starts from INR 99/-. The brand supports the concept of making their drinks out of fruit and not from fruit concentrate. I was recently sent a few of their products for review, and on one leisurely autumn evening, I opened them, poured them out, and tasted them, one by one.
What B Natural Says about their products:
When life seems flavourless, there’s nothing better than a blast of taste from B Natural that can bring back the zing. It’s an instant pick-me-up that brings out the fun and freshness in you. Take a sip and let the rich flavours give your taste buds the treat they deserve. B Natural has a range of eight exciting variants. Pick one to suit your mood – from the delicious Mango , Apple , Guava and Litchi to the tangy-sweet Mixed Fruit , Orange and Pineapple . Our jamun variant – Jamun is a delight with no added sugar. Our beverages are packaged in 6-layer Tetra Pak cartons. These cartons protect the contents from environmental conditions and preserve their nutritional value, so you can experience the goodness of our beverages in its entirety.
My Experience:
The packaging of the products have been kept simple: tetra packing ensures that there is no chance of spoiling for a while, which is always a good thing. I liked the fact that some information was provided about each of the juices right on top, and I checked the side for the nutritional value. What I liked was the slightly lower sugar content per 100 ml. (59 kcal for their mango flavor, which is lower compared to some parallel brands), but again, there’s added sugar in each. Apparently, the Jamun version doesn’t have any added sugar, and it is lauded for that factor. I haven’t tried it yet, but I do want to.
B Natural Pomegranate juice was my personal favorite – its quite low in sugar (at least when it comes to taste), and I enjoyed pouring it into some ice and gin to make myself a drink which had a zip of antioxidants. The other favorite was the mango one, which I drank through the next day because I was feeling woozy for some reason. B Natural Litchi is quite tart, again, something that would appeal to many, but I am not a litchi fan. The one which didn’t really appeal to me was the Guava, but I think that is because I found this a tad bland. Overall, I felt these were good value for money, and a glass here and there is quite refreshing, even for a fruit-phobe like me.
