Isn’t it a beautiful thing to find a chocolate and name it as you want it to be? I remember making my first creation at Fabelle Chocolates a year ago, when my result was a messy, sticky beauty that I ate with equal amounts of glee and gusto. S, i.e. Sagorika C, after tasting it, told me I had potentials. So when the invite to come name a chocolate came along, I was quite excited to put my name on a concoction that would reflect my taste.
At Fabelle Chocolates, you have a huge number of options to personalize your chocolate – you get to pick between milk and dark chocolate, and then, it can be filled with some form of ganache or cream. From white chocolate to minty dark to caramel, there are several options here, and then you have the option to add whatever topping you want to add. I used a combination of three of my favorite things – Coffee, Mint, and Chocolate. There is an extensive menu to pick from, and No. 90 on the list bore my name, a concoction that I signed off as “That’s Amore!”.
The base is rich, dark chocolate, filled with minty dark chocolate ganache halfway through. Then, a sprinkling of Sunbeam Coffee (ITC makes it) is added, following which, the cup is covered with more chocolate, and topped with cacao nibs. I made this with chocolate curls, as well as used milk chocolate cups to make the chocolate, but nothing compared to the original version. The silky texture of the chocolate was enhanced by the dark, rich coffee, and there was a minty aftertaste – a fantastic after-dinner treat to enjoy with a measure of cognac, I believe. To see how I made the chocolate, check out my Facebook Live video here.
Afterwards, we sat back with a cup of S’mores chocolate milk and a bevy of these beauties while the sun rose high up on the skies as the day progressed. One of the things I love about Fabelle Chocolates is the huge range of their AYNI products – there are over 100 options to choose from, and they can put in virtually any combination. That, of course, makes the process of choosing harder, but wouldn’t you love the essence of exclusivity that comes with it?
You can make your own chocolate and name it at any of the following outlets of Fabelle Chocolates at particular ITC Luxury Hotels, like ITC Maurya in Delhi, ITC Chola in Chennai, ITC Gardenia & Windsor in Bangalore, ITC Maratha and Grand Central in Mumbai, and ITC Sonar in Kolkata. Ideally, go over quickly before all the chocolates get named.
Disclaimer: This post was done to promote the AYNI campaign run by Fabelle Chocolates. Poorna Banerjee was invited by the brand to make her own chocolate cup.
