I’m a brunch girl. Which basically means waking up and eating a lot of food is totally my style. I eat out a lot, I go out a lot, and yes, brunches are perfect because I like making the first meal of my day a big one. And so, brunches make me happy, because the transition from breakfast to lunch is a good thing, right?
And what better than to have one which consists of bacon, ham, salami, and assorted cold cuts, and you get to sip on pretty cocktails while looking out from a eight-storied building.
And when you’re done drinking, plonk down on one of the chairs with a plate of cold cuts and cheese – there’s quite a few to pick from, but the Smoked Scamorza and the small rounds of Bandel cheese are my favorites of the lot.
And if you are tired of the cheese and cold cuts, a server will provide an assortment of starters to your table, which includes crunchy dim sums, portions of chicken kababs, and vegetarian dishes like Crispy Chilli Babycorn.
If you feel you need to be vicariously healthy, then the DIY salad section is for you – an assortment of dressings and salad leaves, together with your choice of protein, can be quickly mixed and matched to whip up a batch, or you can choose from their favorite picks. A carving section stands at one corner – doling out thin slices of chicken roast and crisp skin, something I ask for, to the smile of conspiratory glee on the server’s face.
While there’s pizzas on the menu and a large number of main courses, starting with Biryani and Dal Makhni, I drift slowly towards the dessert section, with a small array of pastries and sweets. The chocolate tart is thankfully not too sweet, a feature I like personally,
In case you need a fix like that in your life, head over the Afraa for their Sunday brunch, which starts from 12.30 and ends around 3.30 pm and is 999/- plus tax, which is a pretty decent deal given the fact that there’s plenty of food and alcohol on offer.
